Mrs. Mirka Federer Mirka Federer, the married name of Miroslava Federer, was born in the Czechoslovak Republic in 1987. She went to Switzerland with her family when she was two years old. Mirka is a former tennis player who took up the sport after modeling her game after her favorite Martina Navratilova. Mirka first developed a passion for tennis at the age of nine. After existence escorted past her father to a tennis match in Filderstadt, Germany, she got the opportunity to meet Martina Navratilova. When Mirka was 19 years old, she began her career as a professional. At the 1999 French Open, where she made her grand slam debut, she was unable to go beyond the first round. She made a little improvement in the Australian Open to start the new year. This time, Mirka was able to go to the second round before losing. She competed in all four grand slams in 2000, however she never advanced beyond the
